Our tour visits the National Museum, Nairobi’s famous snake park, the Parliament buildings, Kenyatta Conference Centre and many of Nairobi’s historical buildings. Continue to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust situated on the outskirts of the Nairobi National Park to see orphaned elephant calves raised by Dame Sheldrick and her team of enthusiastic carers. See the calves at the baths and hear from keepers how they have been rescued, raised and their plans to release them back into the wild. Continue towards the Ngong Hills and through the residential area of Karen for lunch at Tamambo Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Restaurant. In the afternoon a visit to the house of famous novelist Karen Von Blixen, immortalised in the film “Out of Africa” which is now a Museum followed by a visit to the Giraffe Centre, where the offspring of Daisy (the famous Rothschild Giraffe) can be seen and fed. Lastly a stop at Utamaduni Craft Centre for a wide shopping experience of Kenya made artifacts.
