Arusha
Is the main city in northern Tanzania with a population of over 250,485 inhabitants. It holds the headquarters of the East African Community and is the city from where all northern safaris commence to Mount Kilimanjaro and the parks of Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. The beautiful city sits at the base of the impressive Mount Meru, which rises to over 15,000 ft. Part of this large mountain holds Arusha National Park, which has a wide range of animals and birds as well as forests, plains, lakes and deep craters.
